Lloyd, do you know if old vibrogym has more precise vertical vibration than old fitvibe medical, in other words is there any difference in the quality of vibrations between those two? I guess they both develop similar force?

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2016-01-22 16:40:50

Correct

David Posted On:2016-01-21 21:32:40

So G should be the same?

David Posted On:2016-01-21 21:15:59

But what is difference in the sense of mechanical output, after all from what I know those are just wobbling plates, so if two plates are performing with the same frequency and are also the same size, I guess the amplitude is also the same.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2016-01-20 16:29:00

Yes. Globus do have a good record. Check out this older site that had some basic engineering tests so you can directly compare some of the different brands in Europe.

http://www.vibrationtrainingdevice.com/comparison.htm

David Posted On:2016-01-19 22:10:22

What would be best pivotal machine in Europe? Galileo is very expensive and cheap plates go only to 14 HZ, I have one. Muscle contrasction suppose to start from 20 HZ on pivotal machines. I see globus has plates that goes to 30 HZ, if that is true.

So i wanna know what would be the difference between globus and galileo, I mean, from what i know, the mass of the machine here is not important  only frequency and amplitude, which you get from wider stance.  I would like to try combine pivotal with lineal training or therapy.

My email is  lloyd@vibra-train.com

That article is mainly based on physio units. No real training machines were used in any of the research cited.

So the title is misleading. But the info is accurate.

Hi Lloyd, thanks for the reply. Well I dont want to go through that again  what Im going through now.   Would be happy to discuss the other matter privately.  I am in Australia.  Can I email you

Thanks and kind regards

Jane ....

Basically that company cant lie in bed straight and the owner is an off the scale nutter. Multiple breakdown issues where the customer is blamed and abused. So if it ever breaks....... all i can say is good luck.

What country are you in, so we might be able to find you something suitable ? What country are you in

PS..... What was the name of the Pro Pivotal unit ?  Was the situation resolved ?

Jane Posted On:2016-01-19 11:44:31

Hi there, I see Hyper Gravity is on your blacklist, I just wondered why...

Theres a person selling a Hyper Gravity Olympic Professional used machine quite locally and Im wondering if this is worth pursuing or not.  Having already just been burnt by a brand new and supposed Pro Pivotal Machine LOL.  Once bitten twice shy.  Looking for something for quality muscle and fat loss to complement a personal training program.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2016-01-18 18:09:13

Only safe way of doing this is simply placing all your body weight through your heels during your squats.

Try doing a squat with most of your foot off the machine, so you cant engage the ball of your foot. .

I know isolating sounds like a good idea, but in VT the actual poses place too much shearing stress on the joints. So I never recommend or promote them. Sorry.

Be careful if you go online to find some poses, they will probably be attached by some PT who has no understanding of the forces you are dealing with.

David Posted On:2016-01-18 05:45:50

How would I best target hamstrings with vibration training? Have you ve done any experimenting or are you strict to your safety program? I mean with squats I just feel quads too much.

Is there a way to target specific musce with vibration training safely? Can you lay on back with mat underneath? Or just putting arms or legs on machine? Thanks for answering.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2016-01-09 16:37:41

 Short answer...

From all my research into tank crews from 60 years worth of material.( Who receive well beyond any ISO 2631  precautions ) There seem to only be long term positive effects.

But yes. Positioning and direct transference into the tailbone up into the head seems to cause some issues in some cases. ( hence sitting upright on the machines is a banned pose )

Otherwise normal contraindication would suffice........ Eg.... Brain tumor. Brain injury, clot or recent brain bleed. Recent eye surgery or damaged / detached retina.  .   .

David Posted On:2016-01-08 23:30:07

I have a question regarding vibration transmiting to head, for example in squat position there is stll some vibration feeling in head and neck, could that be dangerous on long term and are there any limitations regarding age or other conditions for vibration training.

General warning

A few reports floating around about health professionals who curriculum's do not cover the discipline of Vibration Training, adding random machines to their practices for some extra income. Be it a Physio , PT or Yoga instructor. None of their qualifications gives them the knowledge to teach this special type of training.

Most don't even know the very basics like Pivotal VS Lineal units.

Be even more careful if they claim to have a "masters" cert in VT. The only certs like this around are literally given out my marketing / sales companies along with a machine. It is nothing short of a scam.

You suspect anyone is not 100%. Then come on here and we can give you a few questions to fire at them. That will separate the pretenders from the disciplined practitioners very quickly.

Because don't think for a minute a pretender is not dangerous. They are. You only have one body, be protective of it.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-12-24 15:12:24

No not a massive change. It only adds about another 60kg of force and 1 mm to the plate. Despite what the specs say.

If you want to best results. Chop and change Fqs and amplitudes often. Never the same workout settings twice in a row.

David Posted On:2015-12-24 01:13:15

Lloyd I bought the fitvibe machine and it works great... Should I feel big difference when changing intensitiy, I mean amplitude from low to high?  Cause I dont.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-12-11 21:26:09
David....

Complete rubbish. All part of the scaremongering tactics resorted to by some dodgy marketers.

We have heard it all....

EMF or RF will give you cancer or stop your pacemaker ( with a motor the size of your car engine maybe )

Two motors will scramble your brain.

Lineal will give you brain damage

Always ask yourself just one question if listening to any of that kind of stuff..... Why do 99% of the worlds commercial locations use the machines these people say will kill or hurt me. But after 12 years, no reports of damage.

David Posted On:2015-12-11 21:11:42

Im just wondering about EMF radiation with vibration plates. Is there any concern with  AC motors? Any info on that?

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-12-06 10:25:42

It is possible. But I would need to see it....Got a link or send me a photo by email

David Posted On:2015-12-05 22:57:15

Lloyd, is it possible that fitvibe plate has different name. Im asking because the plate Im trying to buy looks exactly like fitvibe, but has different name written on machine and also in software. Have you ever heard of that? Im just trying to make sure its the right plate before I buy it but I dont want to post the link to it  here.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-12-05 11:17:04
David

Solid floor is best. Or if you are worried about residual vibrations, best to put the machine on a mat made of two layers. Hard rubber on top, soft foam beneath.

Handlebar .....  Sorry don't know if it is detachable. Long time since I seen one.

David Posted On:2015-12-04 20:26:55

One more thing, can you remove the holder from plate, I ask that for transportation purposes.

David Posted On:2015-12-04 20:24:07

Thank you, Can you tell me can this  machine be placed  on flooring?

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-12-04 09:21:20

Fit-Vibe medical old model with separate control.

PROS....

(1) More KN.
(2) Separate control box means easier maintenance. ( which I can help you with some advice )
(3) The vibration will not cause issues with the controls unlike sold state units.
(5) Good quality stainless steel hull.

If the box completely craps out. One can be rebuilt. ( I do that now _.

A piece of history that is just to expensive to build nowadays.

Cons......   No warranty.

David Posted On:2015-12-03 21:10:09

It has come down to two plates, Dkn xg 10 vs fittvibe medical old model with separate control. Would like to hear your opinion, pros and cons. Thanks.

So basically a Medium Energy Level ( Medium magnitude ) unit. Old style standard platform.

These guys have been using that style of machine for years.....  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmWkFoJyIDU

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-11-30 08:21:03

 Kathy

You would be better off with a Pivotal unit. A good quality one will allow you to do your physio and training. ( And be much cheaper to buy ).

Note: The lower speeds of a Pivotal unit allow full communication between brain and muscles.

Try these guys....  http://www.nitrofit.ca/products/nitrofit-deluxe/
