Hi Lloyd, I see: If it comes to Power Plate you act like an ex-husband; washing of dirty clothes and warning all the others against this evil dangerous ex. This shouldn’t be your mission Lloyd! You claim yourself as the leader in vibration training technology and that you are passionate and relentless in your ambition to be the best. So, please let me know why you are not visible in New Zealand? Why only very few people know the benefits of vibration training? Vibration Training is not a subject in Health & Fitness Magazines, TV or any other Media then may be this forum or your YouTube channel. I visited 3 Expos this year in Auckland: Back Pain Expo, Fitness Expo and Health & Living and I have seen 3 other competitors but not Vibra-Train. You missed all the opportunities to explain the benefits of vibration training to the people. If you are the leader in that industry, then you have a responsibility too!

Di is taking a lot about prices. $9 for a 15 minute session, sounds great for your customers, but is it profitable for the business owner? I have a background as a start-up consultant, so let’s do a calculation: You sell a studio for $150,000 + GST = $172,500. As a good investment should be written off after 3 years, this makes $1,105 per week (without any loan interest or fees). Before you can open a studio the owner has to invest money for renovation, furnishing, signs, license, start-up marketing and a few more other things. So there is a minimum of $5,000 (= $96 per week). And the owner has to pay rent, insurances, telephone, broadband, electricity, security, …another $1,100 per week (as a minimum, no money for marketing, advertisement, repairs, cleaning included). And you have to pay your staff or yourself as the owner. Vibra-Train studios are open for around 60h a week. So your wages bill will be $750 per week (as a minimum). That makes outgoings of $3,051 a week (as a minimum).
Vibra-Train has sold often deals like 10 sessions for $35, 20 for $59 and 30 for $79. And with a 50% commission you get only $17.50, $29.50 and $39.50. $39.50 means an hourly wage of $5.27 only. Ok, let’s forget the commission and see it as a marketing investment. With a mix of (hopefully) 50% paying customers and 50% voucher customers you can earn $5.94 per 15 minute session. So you need 514 customers per week, 74 per day or 9 customers per opening hour before the studio makes any profit. From my experience most of the studios have less than 40 customers per day, so you can just pay off your monthly fixed costs.

From my point of view as the leader in that industry and licensor you have the responsibility to make a successful business possible. And cheap session prices are not the key to success!

I understand there are a few people watching this board in regards to Power Plates future. And are in the middle of making a decision to purchase or not.

Well please take this unbiased advice....

Wait until the company is sold ( not just in negotiations ) As I would not put it past them to falsely create consumer confidence in the brand.

Vibra-Train not catering to all needs.... ?

So far we are the only company to cater to ALL needs. Not just skinny people with no health issues. Just because I make things simple, does not reflect the thought behind the programs...

I could not imagine releasing a machine that can not function properly with an over-weight person on it. But Power Plate did. By the thousands.

Afraid of losing customers.....

As Di pointed out. When Power Plates head office was down the road ( one of many "head Offices" that has closed in every country ) We used to send people down for a direct comparison. Power Plate on the other hand denied our existence.

We do not need to operate out of fear. Because they lack conviction in their own service and product. .

Di Heap/VibePlus Posted On:2012-11-16 12:22:17

Afraid of PowerPlate or of losing a few customers?  Not a chance. We used to tell our customers to go down the road and trial PowerPlate if they seriously questioned the difference in the machines or the programs. Apart from that, I couldn’t support PowerPlate due to dishonest marketing.

I’ve never lost a customer because they “can’t” do the program; some find it too challenging for their liking, not their ability.

Just so you know, there are Assisted/Therapy poses for people who truely can’t do the standard poses due to disability, injury, or health. There’s an advanced program for people who want and are capable of that extra challenge.  Vibra-Train do not write totally individual programs for clients; in my opinion that’s simply a marketing tool that allows extra money to be charged and extra time to be spent with the client. It’s suggestive of interest in the client but tell me, really, how individual is the program?

Have I tried PowerPlate?  Yes, a number of times.  A senior trainer gave me an “individual” program after being told I’d done Vibra-Train for two years.  It consisted of simple 30-second poses, not based on my ability but he said people had to start off small and have the program changed as they progressed.  Even though I proved I had no trouble holding the poses and I asked for more, he told me it would take a year to reach the level of the standard program I was using at Vibra-Train.  I went back once, got nothing out of it and followed up with the full program at Vibra-Train on my way home (Note: I was not a Vibra-Train employee at that time).  I’ve proven myself at Trade Shows being able to hold a squat on whatever PowerPlate was being shown.

Like Lloyd said, If you are benefiting from your sessions at Power Studio, and are happy (and able) to pay the $ price, keep on with it.

The daily fitness deal I first wrote about – has still not sold even ONE 5 session voucher.

Jackie

My mistake actually labelling the PowerStudio a training academy. I knew it was privately owned just wrote up wrong.  I’ll correct that to say they have run the academy training (led by Erica and Paul) which, fair enough, is the PP training.  And, It’s a PowerPlate authorised centre (not sure what that means now PowerPlate International under administration and a sale in process).  I’m surprised to see any new-ish  PowerPlate machine locations given the history in New Zealand and worldwide and, in my opinion, the disrepute PowerPlate has brought upon the Vibration Training industry.  We’ll play “wait and see”.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-15 19:02:40
Jon....

In one way it is good. If PP sold to a completely innocent third party. It is much harder to convince the consumer not to deal with them.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-15 18:49:39
Jon....

No surprise there.  Only one of their own would ever buy it.

But these old guys have no idea how committed we are to sinking that ship and cleaning up the industry ( and how powerful the internet has become ). They still think the past can be glossed over by money and marketing.  How did you think they got into such deep trouble in the first place.

Every time they "restructure",  they repeat the same mistakes. It is like watching a slow motion train derail itself.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-15 18:33:41
Just a bit of history Jackie...

I opened the worlds first Power Plate studio. So I was once their biggest supporter. And actually had more faith in the concept than the Dutch owners who refused to open one up themselves.

The consumer test group voted which types of programs and machinery they wanted to use. And over a period of time which was the most effective.

We had 4 types of Lineal machines. 3 steel and one plastic. And it ended up we could not give away free sessions on the plastic unit. So what has happened is no surprise to those of us who were there at the beginning. .

Note: I still own those first 3 steel models. They still work well. The plastic one is long gone to the rubbish tip.

The simple fact is, business people who do no research into a product or services history, ( past a glossy brochure or website ). Are in my opinion doomed.  But they are usually people only in this for a fast buck anyway.

You think I am just being negative. Then find all the past PP owners and find out if they still use the machinery themselves. You will find their commitment to vibration training was all fake.

Jon Posted On:2012-11-15 18:14:14

Updates for Power Plate North America.  A former Power Plate CEO bought them for 3 Million USD.  The current CEO resigned to join the bidding war to buy it too.  This seems very strange and fishy to me.  I guess thier hoding company JHWhitney was at the end of keeping it in thier investment portfolio. Maybe something to do with the fact that they had 50 percent of revenue in debts outstanding.  Is it me or does it seem really messed up that a company can wipe the slate clean in bankruptcy, get purchased by a former CEO and start up where they left off before.  The way I see it American tax payers end up bailing out the bad debt over time as the bankruptcy courts allow this to happen.  Then those same tax payers get screwed again when they buy one of thier over priced machines.

you can read more about it here.   http://clubindustry.com/inside_manufacturers/power-plate-international-enters-into-agreement-with-ppi-acquisitions-20121102/index.html

But on a different note. If it is working for you. Then keep going. But I fear one day the studio will simply not be there for you.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-15 16:08:02
Only one problem with your opinion on the subject.

Every single studio that has trusted Power Plates training methods and machines has closed up. Ask the "trainers" what happened to all the other studios they worked at ? See what BS response you get.

I have had it all asked of me before. Why don't you have individual rooms, why don't you have different or longer  programs with more choices  etc...

My answer to ALL those people. If that is really what the consumer wanted. Then why the massive failure on every level of the business / industry ?  Why did you local studio offering those services close up ?

Look, at the end of the day, the consumer will vote with their wallets. And all our opinions will fade to irrelevance.

Regarding your comment.......  " Power Plate has learned and the machines are better no then in 2008. "

No according to Power Plates official stance. They claimed in legal documents in 2010 no issues hand EVER been recorded with the quality. And they instead blamed the consumer for subsequent damage. No recall ever given, no refunds given over false or misleading claims. So nothing has been learnt.

Why we worry about them ?

The fact is in all my time in the industry ( and as Power Plates Product manager ) I have yet to meet an honest, straight talking Power Plate rep or trainer.

That is the repuation and "badwill" people buy in to when going anywhere near that brand. Sad but true.

Jackie Lee Posted On:2012-11-15 14:38:42

Di, why are you so focused on Power Plate? Why are you investing so much time and energy to follow up the activities from others? Are you afraid to loss a few of your customers? Have you ever thought about the possibility that people could be happy to pay more for their training? May be they are willing to invest a little bit more to get a personal and individual and not a supervised standard program. We have to make so many choices every day; it’s like going to lunch: You can go to the Chinese takeaway and you will get a standard meal for $12.25 only or  you can go to a restaurant with a welcome atmosphere  and friendly well educated staff and eat  a la carte for $60. You will get a lunch at the end – but it is your choice what you get.

Di, I was a Vibra-Train customer at Paul Matthews Road with a 10 session card. I left after 4 sessions, because the frequency of the vibration was too high and program hasn’t allowed any alternations. For me as a beginner, the training was too intensive. Every time I asked to shorten the time for a single position I get the answer: NO, we are not allowed to change time or program. Ok, so I changed - the studio. After my experience with Vibra-Train I was very sceptical regarding vibration training. But Power Studio in Albany (by the way that is not a Power Plate Studio as you claim; they are independent and only work with this equipment) offered a free trial session to me and I’m so happy that I gave vibration training a second chance. The whole experience was so different: The questionnaire at the beginning, the individual program I got, the atmosphere and: the vibration machine. I got a full session and I felt great after I left the studio. I started 5 months ago and I’m still trying 3 sessions per week. My whole body has changed: I lost 19 kg and a lot of cm, I have more energy and have invited a lot of my friends to join the training.

Di, may be you (and Lloyd) are not really good informed about Power Plate: They have not opened a new studio nor have plans for this. So don’t be afraid. And only the studio is new in Albany, the trainers have worked in a similar studio for many years. So maybe you should be a little bit more careful with your assumptions?
And the article in the last post from Lloyd about the Power Plate machines is 5 years old. I’m sure even Power Plate has learned and the machines are better no then in 2008. I never heard about Power Plate before I started my training at Vibra-Train, but I found them through your forum, many thanks for that!

Di Heap Posted On:2012-11-15 10:22:11

Compare this

A local daily deal company is offering a 50% off PowerPlate deal

5x   personal training vibration sessions - $150       (that means the regular price is $300 or NZ$60 a session). The sessions are advertised as 25 minutes.

The Vibra-Train studio where I work has a regular price of

11x   supervised vibration training sessions - $100     (that’s just a little over $9 a session). Sessions take around 15 minutes.

I’m going to be fair now and tell you my studio has permanently reduced prices so let’s compare prices with the Vibra-Train studio located closest to where the PowerPlate sessions are held.

That Vibra-Train studio has a regular price of 11 sessions for $135 – so that’s $12.25 a session and includes the full training program and anti-cellulite massage. Compare that with the $60 price just up the road!

The only other “difference” advertised is that PowerPlate sessions are said to be Personal Training. I take this to mean an Instructor is with you.  Vibra-Train provides Fully Supervised Training.  This ranges from one-on-one personal training through to one instructor supervising a room of, maybe, 5 people.  Note:  using the whole body work-out Standard Safety Program Vibra-Train customers soon learn the positions and most don’t require an instructor standing beside them every second.  Those that do, get that at no extra cost.  Those who are capable and ready are given advanced poses again at no extra cost.   And I haven’t said anything about the difference in quality of the machine brands!

I’m not surprised at what PowerPlate is charging though – that’s normal marketing for them.

I’m also not surprised that they haven’t sold even ONE voucher in the 24 hours the deal has been available.

(The PowerPlate Studio offering this deal is a fairly new, relaunch of their training academy. An attempt maybe to get the brand going again in NZ  - Not like that’s going to happen with PowerPlate International and others worldwide now under administration.  Add in the breakdown and fast wear and tear of their machines – see the previous two posts in this forum. What is this PP studio going to do  when their machines need parts or repair?)

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-09 21:33:37
When I released this article. Power Plate tried to insinuate online I was making the damage up.....

Just like they accused me of tampering with the equipment  that failed engineering tests.

Identical damage on the auction below on another machine. Both sold as "Commercial Quality"  units.

What are they going to say now. I broke into someone's house and wrecked the machine  ?

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-08 22:00:40
A $20,000 Power Plate . Not even used in a commercial setting.

Completely destroyed

Now going for $50......

If you purchased a $20,000 car. Would you expect it to last longer ?

John Posted On:2012-11-03 17:28:09

Lloyd is absolutely correct.  Many articles Lloyd wrote on the site he mentions below were plagiarized by Ted.  Ted took credit for the work Lloyd did by putting his name on the articles as the author.  And many comments were just completely wiped out.

What happened to the below site ?

It was sold out from under the community by James Foster and Ted Kallmyer  They used the excuse like we were reporting warranty issues and it was annoying advertisers ( not joking folks )  They took 3 years of this communities work and sold it to someone else for an undisclosed sum. During the sale process they also changed the names of contributors ( plagiarism ) to make it look like they wrote all the material.

These are James Fosters own words and "reasons"  and proposal for setting up the site in the first place .......

Lloyd,

My name is James Foster - I run the website at http://www.diet-blog.com.

The comments thread on vibration training has now gone over 300 comments - which is putting a wee bit of strain on the blog software.

However the conversation is so informative and useful that I'm reluctant to end it.  ( So with your permission and input I want to set up another dedicated site )

"Benefits:
You will get a chance to continue on educating people (as you have done on
diet-blog.com)......,

For me, at some stage down the track any potential advertising revenues may
begin to offset the costs of development and ongoing hosting of the site -
and that will be the benefit that I get out of it. I also like to see truth
and factual information in these (fitness/wellness) industries. There's so
much market-speak around that there is precious little sources of accurate
information. "
Please note" I personally contacted companies and arranged 6 advertising spaces to be paid for on the site. In return I only asked for James Foster to keep his word regarding a hands off approach to our fight to keep the industry clean and the consumer fully informed of all industry issues.

It is now exactly what all the other sites on this subject are.......

Auckland Business Uni students observations of other sites compared to ours...... " I saw some consumer oriented blogs, but mostly around one brand, made by marketers "

In the end in 2009 over 3000 comments were wiped.  The site is now run by the same marketers and salespeople that James and Ted were communicating with behind our backs. And I will NEVER trust people like them again.

So sorry folks. You will have to put up with me owning this site forever.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-11-03 10:35:52
Just answering a question posed to me via email regarding the ethics of me owning this site. But apparently being "unbiased"  ( I think this might be in relation to our recent Power Plate comments )

We did have another site once that was deliberately not owned by anyone in the industry.

These are the direct comments by an Auckland Business Uni student doing a paper on our work......

"  I am reading carefully all the posts (needs lots of time) and I gave the copy to my supervisors. They are amazed with the informaition in the blog and with what you are doing there. I am not sure if some other industry has the blog like this one for the vibration training industry. I saw some consumer oriented blogs, but mostly around one brand, made by marketers, or made by some group pf fans. This is the first and the only blog that I saw that gathers the whole industry together."

These were the number of posts and article titles at the time........   17/1/2008

Just looked at the Vibrogym site and under research with the heading "strength" they have the word strength spelled wrong.  Really makes you wonder about quality when people are so lazy they cannot proofread and correct spelling mistakes on their own website.  And the word is spelled wrong under the "research" section.

Bit disappointed in VibroGym's "new" machine....  http://www.vibrogym.com/professional2

Its a basic copy of the 1999 model. But apparently weaker.

No wonder Vibration Training is not being taken seriously in Europe when one of the top companies stalled in R & D years ago ( and apparently are not even going to try ). Come on guys, I know the original was just a nicer looking copy of Dr Bosco's design, but surely you have gained some ideas of your own by now.  It makes me wonder if they even do Vibration Training themselves. I mean how can you not progress at all in 10 years.

No other industry gets to sit on its laurels and expects to be called a leader.

Likes....  I like the fact they have gotten rid of the LCD screen. And gone back to simple buttons which have been proven to be far more reliable in the field.

Dislikes.......  It stops working completely at 140kg. So who knows at what load it drops specs and becomes ineffective for the average user. How is Europe meant to fight obesity with that ?

A great example of how Power Plate managed to scam people for so long.

This is a site that supposedly offers unbiased news on companies in trouble. As you can see a few concerned comments were put up after the release.

My comments about Power Plates last collapse / restructuring and hanging everyone out to dry, ( along with the evidence from Companies Office ) was never put up by admin.  So the readers who are already asking some serious questions, would have no way of knowing this is a repeat performance.

Putting up the posts you deleted on my website. With a note as to my opinion why you deleted them.

Considering they were all factual statements. I backed up with evidence ( public records stuff )

I wish to show the public exactly how Power Plate managed to scam people for so long.

Plenty of people out there willing to help them.

  2. Lloyd Shaw says:

So you are going to try and protect them.

Hope it is worth it mate.

      Hi Lloyd

It was unclear to me that the company closures you mentioned in New Zealand were connected to Power Plate International Ltd so I could not publish them. One clear example normally works.

        Sorry

All studios and distributors and websites were under the direct control of PP Int. Or they were not allowed to use the Power Plate Trademark.

PPI signed off on every detail, action and written word. Which is why I hold them directly responsible for bringing my industry into disrepute.. That’s the thing about being control freaks, if it goes pear shaped. There is no-one else blame.

After the last major collapse Mark Minter , actual President of Power Plate International, Was sent to start over again and take me on.

Power Plates factory contacted me in 2010 to see if I could give them any leverage, because Power Plate would not pay its bills. The factory could not get paid for the machines they had built but Power Plate had sold at a premium price.

Here is the email I received from the factory…… ( my conversation with them at the time confirmed the outstanding bill was over 1 million US ) .

    Dear Mr. Shaw,

    Greetings

My name is Rashmi Chaudhary and I am responsible for Business Development for fitness vertical at Hero Motors. I am the key account manager for Powerplate business and as you rightly assessed we are facing payment issues with Powerplate since last October.

I would like to seek a suitable time to talk to you and get your inputs on the matter. I am based out of India and can call you at any time of your convenience. Pls advise

    Best Regards

Only one problem with this statement….

“Areas of discretionary spend, such as the health and leisure industry have been hit particularly hard in the current depressed environment. As a consequence, there has been a negative impact on the Companies’ ability to generate sales revenue”.

The first commercial locations were set up in N.Z. I actually was in charge of setting up the worlds first studio, as part of a pilot program for Power Plate. Our country also went through the recession. But the industry over here not only survived but has really taken off. With multiple brands doing well.

But every single original Power Plate location closed up ?

All STUCK OFF by NZ Companies Office.

    POWER PLATE CAMBRIDGE LIMITED (1867472)

    POWER PLATE HASTINGS LIMITED (1911530)

    POWER PLATE NAPIER LIMITED (1911525)

    POWER PLATE TARADALE LIMITED (1911526)

    POWER PLATE TASMAN LIMITED (1794498)

    POWER PLATE TAUPO LIMITED (1800768)

    POWER PLATE AUCKLAND LIMITED (1630004)

    POWER PLATE CENTRE GISBORNE LIMITED

POWER PLATE HAVELOCK NORTH LIMITED (1911528)

    POLIMP LIMITED (921003)

POWER PLATE CENTRE (NELSON) LIMITED (1797495)

    POWER-PLATE (B.O.P) LIMITED (1732488)

    POWER-PLATE (MT MAUNGANUI) LIMITED (1732491)

Note: Just as many independent locations carrying Power Plate equipment have also been Struck Off . While other systems have recorded their best year yet.

This pattern, as predicted, is happening globally.

This should raise some serious questions to anyone involved in the business of Vibration Training.

Note: They always seem to find some sucker to buy in and “relaunch” . But that well was always going to run dry.

There are only so many idiots with a million dollars.

  6. Ray Algar says:

I have received a press release from Duff & Phelps Ltd, Administrators to Power Plate International Ltd. Here is an excerpt:

Paul Clark, partner at Duff & Phelps, stated: “The Joint Administrators are trading the Company in Administration in the short term with a view to finding a purchaser for the businesses as a going concern. Already we have had a number of interested parties come forward and are confident of securing a sale in the foreseeable future. Trade will continue as normal while we explore all possible options.

“Areas of discretionary spend, such as the health and leisure industry have been hit particularly hard in the current depressed environment. As a consequence, there has been a negative impact on the Companies’ ability to generate sales revenue.

“The board had been pursuing refinancing opportunities however these were not successful but we hope that the business can now be restructured via the Administration process, in conjunction with a similar restructuring in the US sister company.”

  7. Lloyd Shaw says:

Hello I am Lloyd Shaw. Ex Product Manager of Power Plate.

Quite simply never believe anything Power Plate reps tell you. They are VERY dishonest and after I left in disgust in 2003 I have personally spent considerable time and money trying to warn the consumer.

I liquidated them personally in N.Z. in 2007.

Please understand, these people do not represent the real Vibration Training industry. They are simply marketers out to make a quick buck. At ANY cost. No lie is big enough or low enough.

    Fake engineering reports

    Fake Doctors recommendations

Machines with fake specs sold to the disabled

Made in China markings erased to jack up price

Fake franchises sold. Entire families losing everything.

    Research papers doctored.

The list is very, very long……. And a lot of it is illegal activity. Not just unethical.

    Lloyd Shaw

Ask me anything. I will answer with absolute honesty.

I also got the answer, “Business as usual” they seem to be sweeping this under the carpet…, lost all confidence in this stance, I certainly won’t be buying anymore for my clinics until I know they are above water. Tried finding out about my existing warranties but came up short on that too.

My Challenge to Monty Betham

You put down Vibra-Train – Now come in for a session and see what it’s really like.

I’m totally sick of hearing about other trainers who put down Vibra-Train and vibration training in general.  Almost none have ever fronted up and come into the studio. The occasional one that does come in gets their ‘arse’ kicked so hard by the machines that they shut their mouths up very fast.

Last week in New Zealand we saw the final in a Kardashian styleTV series called “The Ridges”. This last episode showed the KFC Grandfather of All Fight Nights fight between Jaime Ridge and Rosanna Arkle.  Earlier, back in episode 2, we watched a discussion between Jaime and her trainer/coach Monty Betham.  Monty tells us, ““when she said her fitness regime consisted of yoga and vibra-train I was very worried”.

That and other comments I’ve been hearing have seriously annoyed me.

So there’s my reply and my challenge to Monty Betham to Man Up and Front Up – I’m really looking forward to having him visit the studio to do a full, regular, Vibra-Train session.

After Mark Verstegen and his cohorts at Athletes Performance kicked me off their website several years ago for just asking questions about Power Plate on their website, none of them would answer or return calls.  This includes Mark, Craig Friedman, and a man they called "Ace" who was helping run their website at the time.  They are "partners" with Power Plate.  Before the Power Plate incident, I used to correspond with Mark and thought he was ok.  It seems everybody associated with Power Plate is as "dodgy" as can be.

When I contacted the actual studio. They hung up on me.

When I contacted Power Plate Int. directly about my concerns over this type of behavior . Asking if they were so desperate for sales they will risk someone's health. .

This is the official response I received....

" Are we so desperate for sales?  Or did a customer chose not to provide information on their contra-indication?  Or have you another bone to pick? "

This is what I have learnt about Power Plate over the years. If she had died. Power Plate would have hired an army of lawyers to make sure she was to blame.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2012-10-22 13:07:04
Greed over wellbeing in action.

Watch Power Plate put an anorexic person very close to death on a machine. When her Doctor has already banned all exercise due to possible cardiac arrest.

Yes. The Power Plate instructor was fully aware of the situation. And this was done in a "Authorized Power Plate Training Center"  (. Not some random gym. )

We managed to close this center down. But the "greed over wellbeing" mentality goes wherever Power Plate goes.

Combination of compound exercise poses. As per the safety programs. ( muscle taken to complete fatigue )

And direct massage after workout.

Hi, does anyone know how would the vibration training be best aplied for injured and spastic muscles. What would be the best direction of vibration, frequency and machine...

Mike Hair Posted On:2012-10-17 20:52:08

Wow, Can’t believe what I have heard and read about Monty Betham making judgment on something that he has not tried, what’s up with that? I was always taught that a man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an opinion….

After running my own vibration training studio for the past 6 years, 3 of them as Vibra-Train, I find it amusing and offensive that people are too lazy to check out a true result based workout.

Hell some of my best advocates are qualified personal trainers that are in business for them self.

Come on Monty be a man and go meet Lloyd and give it a go, I promise you would be welcomed and surprised.

- I am an athlete who came to 'try-out' Vibra Train as reccommended by my coach at the time - Angela Mckee.

- Lloyd has taken me under his wing and provided me with free access to train anytime at his studio in the CBD.

- He has also given me countless hours trying to educate me on any questions I've had.

- I've been able to bring in any one of my friends and they've received student discounts. Also he's let me bring in a training buddy to train with me for free.

- Not only just athletes, but also any disabled or obese people are also given a 'free-pass' to come in and use his machines to help make a benefit to their lives. THIS IS NOT A MARKETING TECHNIQUE. He could easily be charging these customers as well as myself, as we will demand this form of assistance to our daily lives.

- As I understand it, the mission of "Vibra-Train" is quite clear. It was built to help fight obesity as its sole objective. The machines have been designed that minimal 'thinking' effort is needed, as well as no natural athletic ability required.. Evidenced through the very simple "Safety Program".

- Lloyd also has machines working out in South Auckland to help fight obesity in this area.

From such a relatively small business, the focus and amount of effort spent on Philanthropy as well as conducting his entire enterprise with the highest ethical values I've encountered (as evidenced through his online uncensored website discussion forum) I am truly impressed and inspired by Lloyds efforts.

- Resultantly, from the machines proved usefulness, many other users have now incorporated this training into their lives.

- It has helped me astronomically. My body has become incredibly balanced, my injury problems have largely disappeared, my strength has improved and many more things that have assisted my daily life. Ultimately to say that Lloyd and his machines have helped me, would be an understatement.

For anyone to disrespect Lloyd and his mission does not makes sense to me. He is driven by something that isn't money - his passion. From my personal interactions with him over the last two years, I have seen this first hand by the sacrifices he makes in his own life to devote himself to this.
