Hey Guys,

What do you think about this one from the bulletproof guy...

Looking at power plate My5

im in the US , have had nervous system issues,  neuropathy , proprioception, balance problems . With proper use can this machine help me or do more harm

Felt I could walk better, feel the ground better after trying it out

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-26 14:40:14

Fitvibe medical over the newer Pro .

The pro just has a bigger plate which makes things like the wide stance squat and proper pushup position possible.  .

David Posted On:2015-11-25 19:47:42

Lloyd, could you make a comparison between Fitvibe medical and fitvibe pro excel in terms of force developed. I can get a used fitvibe m. for under 2000 eur, and there is also someone selling pro excel but I think is very expensive. What would be a good price for both, both used? Thanks

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-23 13:49:48

Very old models....  piss weak. Only good for rehab.

David Posted On:2015-11-22 20:44:09

I found some strange DKN models and these are DKN evolve, DKn pro extreme and DKN Dunlop. How are they compared to DKN xg10? Are those old models? No info on KN force found. Thanks for all info, I am really learning a lot from you.

David

Standard Medium Energy Level units. Weaker than powerplates .

  Glenys

Will make difference to your results. Really just depends on your energy levels.

The only exercise contraindication for Vibration Training is no heavy weights straight afterwards.

David Posted On:2015-11-20 21:37:37

Does anyone know anything about Bremshey or tunturi vibration plates?

Glenys Posted On:2015-11-20 15:37:34

H Guys,

I am a long time user of Vibra Train, 3 sessions a week. I have recently started doing high intensity interval training on a exercycle,  also 3 x a week.

My question is,  should I do the interval training on the same day as theVibra Train, or should I do it on alternate days.

Thanks

Glenys

Ok. After 12 years.. Never heard of a FitVibe Medical going down. And I have used one myself.

Also Globus and DKN , but they are newer brands.

David Posted On:2015-11-16 21:55:44

The thing is i would buy a used machine, all these machines I listed are being sold as used in countries near by , so I dont count on service support very much. Some of the machines are being refurbished and even renamed. Dont know if that is good. Considering this I guess the most important factor for me would be the quality, so it doesnt break often. So which firm according to your info is best known for having least repairs?

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-16 15:22:40

Quite simply David. Getting the machine you feel is well backed up warranty wise is a big thing. As they are the price of a small car.

David..... My opinion with all relevant info

Power Plate classic .... Good. But if it breaks, that might be it.

Old Vibrogym  .... Good unit. But Vibro-Gym now run by Power Plate people whom you should never trust. So if it breaks ?

Fitvibe medical.....  ( very rare ) Technically a better option thanks to the separate electronics. Best to see if they still service them though.

Globus fit  Globus Mygold  ...   Both good options if company is active in your area.

Dkn xg10?  ......   Yes a bit lighter. But great reputation to date. No issues with their service.

David Posted On:2015-11-15 21:25:01

Im trying to decide between many units. So what would be best, power plate classic, old vibrogym, fitvibe medical, which has separate control unit, globus fit, globus Mygold or dkn xg10? Dkn seems a little weaker but is very quiet. Are all others pretty much same units with differrent cover? Thank you.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-13 13:56:24
David....

Yes that model is a copy of the original Fit-Vibe Medical unit. ( not made any more )  And is up to standard with Vibro-Gym and Body-Shaker. Only downside is the plate dimensions are a bit limiting.

I would go for the larger plate only for this reason. Same electronics, same motors etc....

David Posted On:2015-11-12 20:28:19

I found that globus has one more bigger plate, It is called phisioplate Fit, the specs and weight seems the same as MyGold model, the only difference is it says it only has 9G, and the design is more like older vibrogym or powerplate. It also cost about 1000 eur less than Gold model. Do you nknow anything about this machine? Is it strong enough compared to Gold model Thanks for all the informations.

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-11 14:34:20

Nothing wrong with the specs. The motors should last years. Even if a bearing goes, they are very cheap to replace.

The electronics are the only risk really. And that can only be predicted by the breakdown rate of other Globus Gold units. So all you can really do is contact them and ask for an honest answer and costing of replacement parts.

David Posted On:2015-11-10 18:53:59

I see globus Gold has two motors, and it can work with amplitude 2and4 mm and frequency 15 to 70hz. Isnt that too much¿ How long would last that machine¿ When buying  used, what to look for¿What price¿

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-11-10 14:52:37

Yes. Globus Gold is a very good unit. I can only guess at the KN specs, but I suspect them to be approx. 3.9  on 50 hz high . As they are desgned off the older smaller steel unit that shares many parts with a VibroGym classic.

David Posted On:2015-11-10 01:27:30

I have one more question about globus vibration plates, their lineal model My gold goes up to 18G but no info about produced force. Any thought on that? Is it quality made?

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-11-02 20:30:44

David.....    Remind yourself that 3.2kn is roghly 320 kg of force. So it is still a good bang for your buck to work against..

It is simply not possible to produce a much higher force without spending some big bucks in manufacturing. And on top of that it increases the risks of breakdowns.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-11-02 20:18:58

David...  Using the XG 10 at your weight will be fine. You will just need to account for the lowering of power by adding in a couple of extra poses. And hold really good angles It will still kill you.

To measure the KN force of any Lineal machine, you need a vibration engineer to do it.  You can not do this on a Pivotal machine, it is missing this spec because of its fixed axis. Aka..... it has no ineria.

You should never really compare Lineal with Pivotal. They are quite seperate systems with different pros and cons. Some of my articles and videos discuss and clarify these.

David Posted On:2015-11-02 01:36:31

What can I expect from DKN xg 10 that gives force 3,2 KN at my 80 kg?

I have seen on one italian site that some guy measured G accelerations. According to his measurements DKN xg10 is only really strong at frequency 45 Hz.. Is this the frequency where the 3.2 KN comes from?

How do you measure force of vibration plates? I have a cheap pivotal plate at home and I was able to measure the frequency with android app, G could be measured too I think, but how would I measure force?

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-10-30 18:45:36

Jacob    It is not that 3.9kn of force will be innefective. It is that it is 100 per cent effective up to 62kg. At your weight of 72 it will only be losing a small amoun of effectiveness. Nothing to worry about.

It is when it is used for obesity work it becomes a serious limitation.

FYI   3.9kn is the highest level produced in Europe . So you are getting the best that is available. Go for it while you still can find one.

SH@W Science , Honesty @ Work Posted On:2015-10-30 18:38:46

Justine     Yes good for training. But prcise positions must be held for that goal. Essentially if you have not reached fatigue in 60 seconds. It is not a strenght and conditioning position.

Jacob Raavig Posted On:2015-10-29 22:36:38

I try to find out which Vibration Training unit to buy in Denmark for fitness training, and have so far only tried the Power Plate plastic versions (not impressed). However I have just received a good offer on the Power Plate Classic refurbished, and from what I can understand from Lloyds posts this one should be producing 3.9kn of force. I weight 72 kg and from what I read 3.9Kn should be ineffective at 62 kg body weight and above? However the recommended BodyShaker from "where to buy a machine in Europe" on the vibration-training-advice website is also producing 3.9Kn of force. Can you please clarify on this and maybe point me in a better direction?  And how much force should a machine be able to produce for my weight before it has any real strengthbuilding qualitites? Btw Thanks a lot for sharing all your knowledge in this very interesting field...

Justine Posted On:2015-10-29 21:03:44

I have seen the gravity revolution machine for sale.  Are these any good for strength training,  as opposed to strictly therapeutic...

Lloyd Shaw Posted On:2015-10-26 12:00:54

Is G Force the most important factor  No KN force is even more important.

I would go for the Lineal XG 10 . has an output of both 3.2 kn, over 300 kg of force and 11 g.  Galileo will not even release its KN force value. Because it is missing this piece of the design puzzle.

David Posted On:2015-10-26 03:19:25

Which vibration would be better for ankle scar tissue break up, lineal or pivotal, for example DKn xg 10 with 11G or  Galileo Fitness with 15 G max., last one seems to be stronger, is a G force the most important factor? Thanks.
