Hi vibrocise, we have not experienced this in our studio. Good idea to get in touch with whoever sold you your machines. I believe you have bought vibrogyms, so hopefully you are getting some after sales advice and support from Dan Fivey. If should be able to give you some input on whether he has seen this before.

Hi there, I wondered if you could help at all........somebody who has been coming to our studio for 4 weeks now has said that she has now got stone bruise on her heel, she says that its been through coming to our studio. I do know that she is a hairdresser and on her feet all day. I was wondering if anybody knew of any way that she could have got stone bruise on her heel through using the machines.....
Thanks in advance for your advice

The cost of reconditioning your large Power Plate Pro machine....
It has just come to light that it can cost $4000 per machine to replace all the wearable parts ( only replaced a few parts, nothing major like the motors ) . And this was not a hard worked unit by most studio standards. Anyone purchasing a machine should ask for a redeemable quote ( past the warranty date ) for all parts that might need replacing. And get it in writing, Power Plate are famous for reneging or even outright denying verbal deals. And get the quote from Power Plate head office, as in my country Power Plate have failed and relaunched 4 times, each owner not honoring the lasts promises.
If you have only 1 machine, this might be affordable. But imagine having 4 or more machines, as a business you would be staring down the barrel of a $16,000 bill to keep them looking tidy and running.
Note: The person is now trying to sell the machine for $6000 with no takers. You do the math's.
And Power Plate are not the only ones.....
Some companies are charging $800 for a single set of isolators ( the rubber bits that act like a car suspension system for the plate ) . If these are not replaced the machine becomes uncontrollable or stops vibrating properly.
Note: These companies simply deliberately made parts that break so they can fleece you later. And guess what, you can only use the exact parts they sell. Nothing else will work. Unfortunately the industry is not big enough to make producing generic parts profitable yet. So you really are stuck with the problem.
I hope this is a wake-up call to those who thought my warnings about companies just putting the label "commercial" on anything that moved was not scare mongering or an anti-competitive sales pitch. It is real and a real concern.

Sounds like an "Earth" signal from the FQ inverter. Which usually only mean a lose wire. A standard electronics mechanic should be able to find the fault.
Was it brand new unit ?
Maya.......
Yes the Crazy-Fit is on the blacklist due to deliberately advertising fake specs. It is a "Slow Speed Pivotal" unit that needs top get to a certain speed to give all the effects they advertise. It does even do half of that. But if you want a slow speed pivotal, then its a good enough unit.
Note: A Lineal units level of effectiveness is how heavy a vibration it can create, not the speed .

Hi.
I have been reading a bit in the Internet about this solution and different machines.
Question ... Are you familiar with any gym or any company at all that works with these machines in Israel
i only managed to find the following web site www.crasyDASHf.co.il
which stands for crazy fit massage
sorry but i am not able to write any signs in this comment not a dash sign nor question marks etc...
However, i read in your site that you mentions this in your black list.
Thanks and regards in advance...

Who is trying to delete / re-write history ?
Comment from a PhD Thesis on Online Consumer Engagement
http://www.ffwd.net.nz/blog/2009/12/consumer-engagement-in-online-communities-formed-around-blogs/comment-page-1/#comment-58
" Until March 2008, 324 members posted 2370 comments on 55 articles "..... on vibrationtraining.net
As of today almost every single question and answer has been erased. Literally thousand of consumer education questions and answers, gone. Why delete all the publics questions surrounding Vibration Training. Who would have anything to gain, or better yet something to lose from this data remaining public permanently ( like every other forum on the internet does ).

I want to put up a sign that says “Dear New Customer – You need to do Vibration Training twice a week minimum, three times is even better – Once every “blue moon” is not going to give you results!”
In fact, “Twice a Week Minimum” is on our Basic Rules @ Vibra-Train sign and we have many hundreds of regular customers every week but I’m still getting those who want to come in occasionally when they feel like it or “have time”. Most of the people with this mindset are doing no other fitness activities so maybe they are just responding to the message that we must exercise but feeling good about signing up is not the same as actually doing it!
We make time for what is important to us – how important is your health, fitness, strength?

On a positive note – I’ve had a busy morning at the Vibra-Train studio with lots of newbies and they’ve been from all ages and people types: A rather large man, a slim athletic girl who came with her father who is a new customer, two women who are health professionals, a 30’s mom who came with her friend who is a current customer, and a young lady from a local business are just some.
It’s exciting to see so many different people trying us out – young and old, fit to very unfit and from every type of occupation.
We’ve turned a corner – Vibration Training in New Zealand is a now a known and accepted form of fitness and exercise training!

It happens for one simple reason Mike ....
People within the fitness industry already, who can not understand Vibration Training ( pretend experts ) just doing what they normally do on a vibration plate. That way they do not have to learn any new science or concepts.
This is all a direct result of Power Plates marketing idea of "Acceleration Training". " It just accelerates whatever else you are already doing." Aka,, It does nothing by itself.
.Just like their machines, all it does is cheapen our industry.
Note: Power Plate did not call it "Acceleration Training" back when they had steel machines.

OMG..... just watched the video of powerplate with people
jumping all over the place, I can’t believe how irresponsible
some people are!
How hard is it to Google vibration training and find info on
what is ok and not ok.
I guess they deserve what they get, unfortunately in the mean
time it is hurting our industry.

Good rule of thumb, never ever compare G-forces of Pivotal VS Lineal.
Think about the term G-forces in our industry, it means working against gravity. On a Pivotal as one foot goes up the other goes down, so the actual g-forces applied to your body are automatically halved, ( something Pivotal companies deliberately do not point out to you ). Only on Lineal do you fully work against gravity at all times. The two separate actions of the machines also target muscle groups quite differently.
Eg....... It is like comparing jumping from side to side with jumping straight up and down.
You also never compare the frequency the machines operate at. For most people going over 22 hz on Pivotal means foot slippage, so going much faster just means you are more likely to not hold form correctly, and you would never do upper body at 22hz on a Pivotal unit.
Where as 22hz on Lineal would be considered very slow and highly annoying, and on most machines be considered Vibration Therapy at best.
They are so un-comparable the ONLY way to tell which one is for you is to try before you buy. If you cant I would suggest you wait until you can.
Note: There are also reasons why one system is safer than the other in certain circumstances.

It is going in my house single story cement floors covered with carpet.
I have tried pivotal not lineal.
My concern with the Dkn is that the G force is only Max 6
isnt that a little low compared to the others which are almost double

The DKN and Vibra-Pro 5500 are similar power rating. But one Lineal the other Pivotal. They are also of similar size.
So it really boils down to preference of Pivotal or Lineal. Have you tried both.
Plus where is it going ? House, apartment, upstairs , downstairs etc..
Note: If you are going to SlimVibes for the Vibra-Pro 5500 beware they use massively inflated fake specs to sell their machines. Which is never a good sign of honesty, I would not trust them. You are much better going to Nitro-Fit http://www.wholebodyvibration.net/

For every trainer that has even mentioned moving on the plates as a good idea for the masses. This is what you propagate....
It makes a complete joke of Vibration Training. Make no mistake, this BS will kill our industry just as fast as crap machines.

Yes will be revisiting this topic soon with a big article on the academic fraud perpetrated by Power Plate. ( Power Plate scam part 2 )
Altering research papers, researchers and Drs names being used on their fake "Medical Advisory Board" that had to threaten legal action to be taken off. Their lack of ethics really has no limits.

Power Plate seems to have redone their website . I just glanced at it but it appears their Scientific and Medical Advisory Board no longer exists or else is not featured prominently on the site. They are hyping both Super Bowl teams using the Power Plate but I clicked on this and it did not say much.

As I stated in an earlier post, it is not just the number of hits that counts. It is who's reading our work that means everything to us.
From the emails I get a few things have become obvious. Everyone from your average consumer to MDs like our approach to the industry, each honing in on the articles they are interested in ( I think the layout makes this process no so daunting for the average consumer ) . They also seem to not be as trusting of other " impartial" marketing sites discussing this industry anymore. I hardly ever get " but I read off another site " as a response to my advice nowadays.
There is a certain tipping point I am working towards, and when that happens, I think it will even stagger our regular contributors. And all those who tried to take a shortcut to recognition and influence through unethical means will just have watch on.

We have now just tipped the 10,000 pages viewed per month figure. The best thing about it is most people are reading a variety of articles, staying at each one for about 3 mins on average.

Mike...
You are talking about a company that promotes attempting a 10 min push-up. An actually impossible task. And gets an Indian marketing company to write up its recommended programs.
Should be illegal but unfortunately we are the only option for some people to get a decent answer off.
Rsk... Mike was the first person to put up a Pivotal studio, in the world. So he gets pretty pissed at amateurs selling machines with no safety in mind.

Linda.....
Yes you can continue using the machine, but you must get a support frame around the machine ( you may be able to buy a walker that does the job ). Taking pressure out of your squats is the key to safely training after your kind of surgery.
Rsk.......
Firstly was this recommended to you ?
No it is not advised for Men to do the anti-cellulite massage ( high speed ) for the very reasons you are concerned about. But there is a seated abdominal exercise guys can do ( always low-med speed ) that is not vigorous enough to cause any concern.
Note: The concern comes not just from logic, but in tests some Men felt ill after being exposed to such vibration. For Men that is always a warning sign things are getting too shaken up down below. So even though there is no "research" on the subject, I prefer to trust mother nature on the subject.

Hello all ,
This is a question for guys. I just bought a hyper vibe machine a few weeks ago. To begin with I only stood on it and trained. Yesterday I sat on the platform for the first time and felt the vibration in my back and groin area. Can you guys tell me if it is ok for men to sit on the platform and train as it really vibrates the groin area pretty vigrourously. Will it affect the functioning, if u know what I mean. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
rsk

I have been using Vibrogym domestic for 12 months until I had bilateral knee replacements 6 months ago. My surgeon, GP and physiotherapist have all said they would get back to me as to whether I can continue using it but havent, probably because they don't know much about vibration training. When I google it, knee arthroscopy comes up with a yes but I have still not found out about knee replacements. My common sense says no as over time the cement binding would jiggle loose. Does anyone know if I can use the machine again as if not I will sell it and move on.
